Design & Stage is an opportunity to manifest how your ideal home will feel, function and look. I prefer an edited stage, it removes the clutter of life and provides a backdrop for items that matter. The concept pictured below is an example of my ideal for clean, modern, functional interiors. Selling, buying, or nesting it's a recipe for serenity. MM

The Land of Enchantment
The land of enchantment is where this beautiful adobe casa lives. This is a property I worked on several years ago for a custom home builder at Las Campanas in Santa Fe, NM. The project included full interior design, and staging, for a spec home in a high end community. I feel fortunate to have worked with an amazing builder, who had a similar design aesthetic as myself. Neutral finishes, dark woods, punctuated with hints of modern elements and splashes of color. Organic and warm materials, mixed with strong architectural elements. This is a timeless look that can be updated easily! MM

Re-Arrange Your Furniture: Open the Door for Opportunity
Re-Arrange Your Furniture: Open the door for Opportunity.
The process of re-arranging your furniture opens the door for opportunity. It's like cleaning out your closet. It creates space for new energy! When selling a home, it's important to have a mentally fresh perspective to your homes key selling points. Changing the layout of your furnishings will help you see where the focus should be! A great view vs the flat screen. An easy flow of traffic for intimate or large gatherings. If you can afford to do nothing else. Start here. Re-Arrange your furniture. Open the door for Opportunity. monicamachadesign.com

Sun Valley Style: Designing for the future. Honoring the Past.
Sun Valley Idaho: Designing for the future. Honoring the Past.
Sun Valley Idaho is a mountain resort community rich with history. Averell Harriman via the Union Pacific Railroad brought glamour and cutting edge technology to this unique mining town, transforming it into a Winter playground in 1936. Sun Valley's past is honored in the community with stunning imagery and artifacts depicting the resorts early years. Innovation and vision established this world class resort.
Sun Valley has entered a new era of defining itself as a luxury mountain destination. I liken it, to another beloved mountain resort community Aspen, Colorado without the "glitz". Sun Valley remains glamourous with a timeless classic style, and a future meant to lead with quiet excellence.
It's time to design a Sun Valley future with a sustainable, stylish, functional, mountain aesthetic. This is achieved with the integration of craftsman, artists, builders, and designers, choosing to build and design for the future while honoring the past. MM www.monicamachadesign.com

Mountain Meets Modern in Sun Valley & Aspen
Mountain meets modern in Sun Valley & Aspen. This is a timeless trend executed by creating edited spaces with warm, organic finishes. It is not sterile or cold. It is the perfect pairing of a neutral palette punctuated with rich wood tones, metallic finishes, and stone. It's my personal favorite. I like trends that never go out of style!

Double or Nothing
Double your investment for home staging and interior design improvements in the sales price of your home. Follow the guidelines outlined in a demographic plan provided by an interior designer or staging specialist. Maximize your homes emotional appeal with furnishings and finishes that reflect upscale trends. Make the potential buyer fall in love at first sight! A good rule of thumb for new furnishings is 10 -15% of the home cost. Double your upgraded interior finish and furnishings investment expense in the selling price of your home! Move your property fast and make a return on your investment at closing by following the guidance of a professional as shown in this Before & After photo. This home sold within a week furnished after being on the market 6 months unfurnished! MM
